mFT 2016: Growing a missional disposition

We have moved the Moving Forward Together (MFT) 2016 season to start earlier this year. We will begin with a combined Parish Celebration on Pentecost Sunday at Emmanuel Church. We will look at God’s call to the Church to be missional and explore what this means for our every day lives in the streets where we live, the places we work and frequent, as well places we intentionally go to be missional.

MFT is a six week season we have each year when across the six churches of the Parish we focus on the same theme in our Sunday sermons and we form combined Parish small groups that meet on Wednesdays (mornings or evenings).

The theme “Growing a missional disposition” will help us ‘dig’ into the first statement in our Parish Mission Statement.

Mission and Evangelism: We see a Parish who by the way we live proclaims the rule of God in Christ, draws people to know Jesus as Saviour and makes a prophetic impact on all of God’s creation.

In our small groups we will consider different passages that invite us to reflect and share, about the call to be missional. There will be lessons to be learned as we share our experiences of how we adopt a missional stance in our everyday lives in the places where we live, work, shop and visit.
